A number of our athletes will have received a notification indicating their JX Award 2022 Result. Unfortunately, Covid restrictions have prevented us from creating a suitable opportunity to present the 2021 JX Awards, and we will aim to do this at the Barossa Carnival. This will also provide us with an opportunity to present record certificates, and to publicly acknowledge the performances of our Australian Championship representatives and SAPSASA participants.

6. BECOMING A COACH – OBTAINING A TOCS QUALIFICATION – UPCOMING COURSES

Expressions of interest are requested from swimmers 15yrs of age or over, as well as parents, keen on participating in an upcoming 1-day long course (+ on-line training and pooldeck practical experience) to obtain their a TOCS Coaching qualification.

7. BASKET HANDLING AT AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

BAROSSA swimming club has been assigned basket handling duties on night 4 (SAT) 21/05/2022 of the upcoming AUS swimming champs.

Our club has been asked to provide 6 swimmers (minimum age 10yrs). Swimmers will be required at the venue SAALC (Marion) from 4:30pm – 8:30pm.

This is a fantastic opportunity for our swimmers to get up close and personal (to carry the bags and perhaps snag an autograph) of some of our Olympians and greatest current champions of our sport.

One parent per swimmer will receive a spectator ticket to the session.

The first 6 swimmers to respond will be assigned as Barossa’s representative basket handlers at these championships. There are three spots still remaining.
